Family Update 11/2015: Due to family, work, volunteering, this website has taken a back seat to everything else. It’ll always be a work in progress but the photo uploads are much easier now that each kiddo has their own “photo book”. Family websites are fun, but a lot of work.
Gary – still CEO/Owner of Bizopia (The Perfect Place for Businesses Online for SEO & Social Media Marketing) – plug plug! Still building websites, search engine optimization, and social media marketing – just huge these days with all the social outlets. Still on the board of a WONDERFUL youth football organization, Fort Bend Gridiron Football, still spending lots of time on sports – mostly baseball. Can be found on TexAgs or other social outlets. Loves his Aggie Football team and has made MOST of the Aggie games in 2015.
Mel – Working full time for Bizopia. Summer again, brought on the challenge of working from home with all the kids around, but managed to survive. School year brings travel to work like a normal person and TRAFFIC. Mel doesn’t DO traffic. Volunteer requirement fulfuller (ProGrad – check, bring on the 8th Grade Party), cook, pet care person, schedule maintainer. Still serving on the board for the high school athletic booster club as chief website master & social media marketer. Really, nothing has changed 🙂 Very active with the football league – probably too much. Mel still bleeds Maroon and has attending every 2015 game! Gig’Em!
Chase – Has completed his time at Texas A&M Galveston, and is planning on joining the Marines in February of 2016. He’s currently working with KP Designs Integrated Audio Video, installing home theater systems. We can still come home and not be able to park in our own driveway because of the sheer number of trucks around. Love having the kids around! Chase coached for the 3rd year this summer for a new team, Commonwealth Piranhas in the SHRSL League and still really loves it. He’s working out with the Marines locally at least one time a week now, and seems to have passed all the physical requirements. The next few months will be extremely challenging for all involved and we are really proud of Chase’s decision. More Chase >
Alexandra – Freshman at Texas A&M University in College Station. WHOOP! Her FCST & high school swimming came to an end with one last visit to the STATE meet in Austin. Great end to a great career – some of us are a bit sad to see it end so abruptly but she sure is having a blast at Texas A&M. What little brainwashing hadn’t already happened, has happened now as Alex is 100% bleeding maroon and we couldn’t be prouder. She applied for a FLO (Freshman Leadership Organization) and out of 750 applicants, got one of 27 female spots. Her FLO (for those Aggies reading) is Class Council. Maroon out shirts. Planning “Class” events and more. She has a great roomie and they live on campus and are adjusting to “sharing space” and both are making great grades. She just LOVES it. More Alex >
Grant – 8th Grade. Last year in middle school and has chose to specialize in football and baseball. For the second year, he has had then pleasure of playing with the Twelve organization for baseball – mostly pitching and left/right field. 7th & 8th Grade has brought on middle school football which is HIGHLY entertaining, I think more so for Gary and Mel…..wow. Because of his arm and probably SIZE, he chose to play quarterback. VERY INTERESTING……as he’s a “give a QB a headache” kind of defensive end, and chose to play quarterback. SMS ended their season with a BIG win and much improved play. Baseball…..3-4 days a week, here we come! More Grant >
